The Williams rhododendron 'Gartendirektor Rieger' (Rhododendron williamsianum) produces a veritable sea of creamy white flowers with dark red markings from the beginning of May to the end of May. Its evergreen foliage is dark green. This upright, rounded, branching shrub usually reaches a height of 2 - 2.5 m and a width of 1.5 to 0.2 m. A semi-shady (to shady) location and a humus-rich, lime-free soil create optimum conditions for healthy growth. The Williams rhododendron 'Gartendirektor Rieger' is well tolerant of frost.
