Description
The Yakushima rhododendron 'Kalinka' (Rhododendron yakushimanum) produces a veritable sea of pink flowers with yellow-green markings from the end of May to the beginning of June. Its evergreen foliage is dark green. This compact, rounded shrub usually reaches a height of 1.2 - 1.4 metres and a width of 1.4 to 1.8 metres. A semi-shady (to shady) location and humus-rich, lime-free soil create ideal conditions for healthy growth. The Yakushima rhododendron 'Kalinka' is well tolerant of frost.
