Description
The Yakushima rhododendron 'Silberwolke' (Rhododendron yakushimanum) produces a veritable sea of light pink flowers from mid-May to early June. Its evergreen foliage is dark green. This compact, rounded shrub usually reaches a height of 1.4 - 1.7 metres and a width of 2 to 2.4 metres. A semi-shady (to shady) location and humus-rich, lime-free soil create optimum conditions for healthy growth. The Yakushima rhododendron 'Silberwolke' is well tolerant of frost.
