Description
The Black-eyed susan (Rudbeckia hirta) is a bushy, rhizome-forming perennial that produces orange-yellow, wheel-shaped flowers arranged in clusters from May to September. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 1 m and grows to a width of approx. 60 cm. The Black-eyed susan is well tolerant of frost.
