Description
With its medium green leaves, the Common glasswort (Salicornia europaea) is an extremely decorative aquatic plant that is particularly suitable for areas such as pond edges, salads and vegetable dishes. It prefers sandy, moist to wet soil in a sunny position. The Common glasswort is well tolerant of frost. The upright, branched, winter-green plant usually reaches a height of approx. 45 cm.
