Description
The Purple osier 'Pendula' (Salix purpurea) is an overhanging dwarf shrub that produces purple-red flowers arranged in catkins. They appear from March to April. The Purple osier 'Pendula' also has lanceolate, grey-green leaves. Its bark is grey. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, calcareous soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 60 cm and is approx. 1.2 m wide.
