Description
The Rotweide 'Basfordiana' (Salix x rubens) is an upright, spreading, broad small tree that produces yellow flowers arranged in catkins. They appear from April to May. The Rotweide 'Basfordiana' also has lanceolate, medium green leaves. The orange-coloured shoots are also an interesting sight. In a sunny location with well-drained, humus-rich, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 15 metres and grows to a width of around 8 metres.
