Description
The Almond-leaved willow (Salix triandra) is an upright large shrub or small tree that produces yellow flowers arranged in catkins with a light fragrance. They appear from April to May. The Almond-leaved willow also has lanceolate, medium green leaves. The green-red shoots are also an interesting sight. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, humus-rich, loose soil, it usually reaches a height of around 8 metres and grows to around 6 metres wide.
