Description
The Common sage 'Purpurascens' (Salvia officinalis) is a bushy, winter-green perennial with decorative, hairy, lanceolate, grey-green leaves. It bears purple, lip-shaped flowers from the beginning of June to July. Repeated flowering occurs in September with the right care. In a sunny location with well-drained, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 60 cm and grows approx. 40 cm wide. The Common sage 'Purpurascens' is well tolerant of frost.
