Description
The Tumbling Ted (Saponaria ocymoides) is a cushion-shaped perennial that produces pink-coloured, star-shaped flowers arranged in umbels from May to July. Its egg-shaped leaves are green. In a sunny location with well-drained, calcareous soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 15 cm and grows to a width of approx. 30 cm. The Tumbling Ted is well tolerant of frost.
