Schinus molle - 200-250 CM C15 WHIP

Description
The California peppertree (Schinus molle) is a very popular, evergreen container plant that can produce red fruit if well cared for. Its decorative flowers appear in April. The location should be as sunny to semi-shady as possible. Well-drained, loose and nutrient-rich soil is ideal. Under favourable conditions, the California peppertree reaches a height of approx. 2 m and grows up to 1.5 m wide.

Care
- Over time, the soil loses some important properties. The plants should therefore be transplanted into a larger pot with fresh potted plant soil every two years in spring. - Tub plants should be checked for diseases and pests before being brought indoors so that they can be controlled if necessary. Otherwise they will multiply quickly in a warm house.

Schinus molle forms yellow flowers from April.

Fruit
The red fruits of Schinus molle are particularly decorative. These appear from September.
