Description
The Narihira bamboo (Semiarundinaria fastuosa) with its medium green leaf colouring and purple-red, hollow stems is a decorative design element in the garden, which can be used as a free-growing hedge with its upright and dense growth. It prefers sunny to semi-shady, wind-protected locations with well-drained, humus-rich and nutrient-rich soil. Under favourable conditions, this bamboo reaches a height of approx. 6 m and grows up to 2.5 m wide.
