Description
The Skimmia 'Godrie´s Dwarf' (Skimmia japonica) is a bushy, compact small shrub with decorative, red, round fruits that remain on the plant for a very long time. These give off a strong fragrance. Before the fruits appear, the plant produces white flowers arranged in panicles in May. The Skimmia 'Godrie´s Dwarf' also has leathery, lanceolate, dark green leaves. In a semi-shaded to shaded, wind-protected position with well-drained, humus-rich, acidic soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 80 cm and spreads to approx. 80 cm.
