Description
The Service tree (Sorbus domestica) is a spreading, roundish small tree that produces white flowers arranged in panicles. They appear from May to June. These produce green-red, oval fruits from September. The Service tree also has pinnate, medium green leaves. Its bark is grey and scaly. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, calcareous, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 15 metres and grows to a width of around 12 metres.
