Description
The Vilmorin's rowan (Sorbus vilmorinii) is a broad, overhanging large shrub with decorative, pink-red, round fruits that stay on for a very long time. It produces white flowers arranged in umbrella clusters from May to June. The Vilmorin's rowan also has pinnate, dark green leaves. The red shoots are also an interesting sight. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, humus-rich, loose soil, it usually reaches a height of around 6 metres and grows to around 6 metres wide.
