Description
With its medium green leaf colouring, the Prairie dropseed (Sporobolus heterolepis) is a decorative design element in the garden, which also stands out with its loose, clump-forming growth. The light brown panicles of flowers adorn this grass from summer onwards. It feels most at home in a sunny location with undemanding soil. In favourable conditions, this hardy grass reaches a height of approx. 50 cm and grows up to 30 cm wide.
