Description
The Perlschweif 'Joy Forever' (Stachyurus chinensis) is an upright, broad shrub with decorative, green-red, round fruits. These are small. It produces light yellow flowers arranged in spikes from March to April. The Perlschweif 'Joy Forever' also has pointed, egg-shaped, yellow-green leaves. The bronze-coloured shoots are also an interesting sight. In a sunny to semi-shady location with nutrient-rich, sandy, loamy, weakly acidic soil, it usually reaches a height of around 3 metres and grows to around 2.5 metres wide.
