Description
The Fragrant snowbell (Styrax obassia) is a sprawling small tree with decorative, light green, oval fruits. These exude a pleasant fragrance. It produces white, bell-shaped flowers arranged in clusters from May to June. The Fragrant snowbell also has leathery, roundish, dark green leaves. In a semi-shady, wind-protected location with well-drained, humus-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 10 metres and grows to a width of around 7 metres.

The deciduous leaves of the Fragrant snowbells are dark green, roundish, leathery, alternate, toothed. They are about 8 - 16 cm tall.

Container plants can be planted all year round, except when the soil is frozen and in summer heat (over 30°C).

The white, bell-shaped flowers of the Fragrant snowbell appear in clusters from May to June. They are pleasantly fragrant.
