Description
The English yew 'David' (Taxus baccata) is a shrub that grows upright, columnar and usually reaches a height of around 2.5 metres and a width of around 1 metre. Its needle-shaped leaves are yellow-green in colour. Decorative cones adorn Taxus baccata 'David' from September. This shrub is well tolerant of frost and prefers well-drained, calcareous, nutrient-rich soil in a sunny to semi-shady position.
