Description
The English yew 'Fastigiata' (Taxus baccata) is a large shrub that grows dense and columnar and usually reaches a height of around 7 metres and a width of around 3 metres. Its needle-shaped leaves are dark green in colour. Decorative red cones adorn Taxus baccata 'Fastigiata' from September. This shrub is well tolerant of frost and prefers well-drained, calcareous, nutrient-rich soil in a sunny to semi-shady position.
