Description
The English yew 'Fastigiata Aurea' (Taxus baccata) is a small tree or large shrub that grows columnar and slender and usually reaches a height of around 7 metres and a width of around 1 metre. Its needle-shaped leaves are yellow-green in colour. Decorative red cones adorn Taxus baccata 'Fastigiata Aurea' from September. This shrub is well tolerant of frost and prefers well-drained, calcareous, nutrient-rich soil in a sunny to semi-shady position.
