Description
The English yew 'Semperaurea' (Taxus baccata) is a large shrub that grows upright, densely branched and usually reaches a height of around 4 metres and a width of around 4 metres. Its needle-shaped leaves have a greenish-yellow colour. Decorative red cones adorn Taxus baccata 'Semperaurea' from September. This shrub is well tolerant of frost and prefers well-drained, calcareous, nutrient-rich soil in a sunny to semi-shady position.
