Description
The White cedar 'Golden Smaragd'® (Thuja occidentalis) is a large shrub that grows upright in a conical shape and usually reaches a height of around 5 metres and a width of around 1.5 metres. Its scale-like leaves are yellow-green in colour. Decorative cones adorn Thuja occidentalis 'Golden Smaragd'® from October. This shrub is well tolerant of frost and prefers calcareous, nutrient-rich, sandy, loamy soil in a sunny to semi-shady position.
