Description
The Henry's lime (Tilia henryana) is an upright small tree that produces creamy white flowers arranged in umbels and panicles with a strong fragrance. They appear from August to September. They produce grey-green fruits. They exude a strong fragrance. The Henry's lime also has heart-shaped, dark green leaves. The bronze-coloured shoots are also an interesting sight. Its bark is grey and longitudinally furrowed. In a sunny, sheltered location with well-drained, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 15 metres and grows to a width of around 8 metres.
