Description
The Silver lime 'Grey Pillar' (Tilia tomentosa) is a columnar, slender large tree that produces pale yellow flowers arranged in umbels with a pleasant fragrance. They appear from May to June. They produce light brown, oval fruits from October. They exude a pleasant fragrance. The Silver lime 'Grey Pillar' also has heart-shaped, grey-green leaves. Its bark is grey and smooth. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, nutrient-rich, loamy soil, it usually reaches a height of around 20 metres and grows to a width of around 9 metres.
