Description
The Feathered elm 'Camperdownii' (Ulmus glabra) is a spreading, roundish, overhanging large tree that produces purple-violet flowers arranged in umbels. They appear from March to April. These produce green-brown, flat fruits from May. The Feathered elm 'Camperdownii' also bears rough, egg-shaped, roundish, dark green leaves. Its bark is grey and torn in strips. In a sunny to semi-shady location with calcareous, loose, nutrient-rich, moist to wet soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 6 metres and grows to a width of approx. 4.5 metres.
