Description
The Elm 'Dodoens' (Ulmus) is a conical, broad small tree that produces light green flowers arranged in umbels. They appear from March to April. Green-brown, flat winged fruits emerge from these from June. The Elm 'Dodoens' also has egg-shaped, dark green leaves. Its bark is silver-grey and smooth. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, loose, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 15 metres and grows to a width of approx. 8 metres.
