Description
The Elm 'Plantijn' (Ulmus) is a broad, oval tree that produces light green flowers arranged in clusters. They appear from March to April. These produce brown, flat winged fruits. The Elm 'Plantijn' also has egg-shaped, grey-green leaves. Its bark is silver-grey and furrowed. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, calcareous, moist to wet soil, it usually reaches a height of around 18 metres.
