Description
The David viburnum (Viburnum davidii) is a small cushion-shaped shrub with decorative, dark blue, oval fruits. These exude a strong fragrance. In June, it produces light pink-coloured flowers arranged in clusters. The David viburnum also has leathery, lanceolate, dark green leaves. In a sunny to semi-shady, wind-protected location with well-drained, humus-rich, loamy soil, it usually reaches a height of around 80 cm and grows to around 1.6 m wide.

Leaves
High leaf ornamental value. The evergreen leaves of the David viburnum are dark green, lanceolate, leathery and opposite. They are about 7 - 15 cm tall.

The light pink flowers of the David viburnum appear in umbels in June. These are strongly scented.
