Description
The Greater periwinkle 'Variegata' (Vinca major) is a creeping, mat-forming, evergreen perennial that produces purple-coloured, wheel-shaped flowers from May to June. Its leathery, heart-shaped, ciliated leaves are dark green with creamy white edges. In a sunny to shady location with well-drained, humus-rich, loose, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 40 cm and is approx. 80 cm wide. The Greater periwinkle 'Variegata' is well tolerant of frost.
