Description
The Japanese zelkova (Zelkova serrata) is a spreading, broad, large tree that produces green-brown flowers. They appear from April to May. The Japanese zelkova also has pointed, egg-shaped, dark green leaves. Its bark is grey and scaly. In a sunny to semi-shady location with nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 25 metres and grows to a width of around 22 metres.
