Description
The Père David's maple (Acer davidii) is a broad, funnel-shaped small tree that produces light yellow flowers arranged in clusters. They appear in May. The Père David's maple also has egg-shaped, medium-green leaves. The bronze-coloured shoots are also an interesting sight. Its bark is green-white, striped. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, humus-rich, nutrient-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of around 15 metres and grows to a width of around 4 metres.
