Description
These produce black fruits from September onwards. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, humus-rich soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 3 metres and grows to a width of approx. 2 metres.

Synonyms (botanical): Acanthopanax henryi.

The Eleutherococcus has good frost hardiness.
Growth
Eleutherococcus henryi can reach a height of 2 - 3 m and a width of 1.5 - 2 m. It usually grows 20 - 30 cm per year.
Water
The plant has a medium water requirement.
Location
Preferred location in a sunny to semi-shady position.
Soil
Normal soil.
Planting time
Container plants can be planted all year round, except when the soil is frozen and in summer heat (over 30°C).
