Description
The Stern's hybrid hellebore (Helleborus x sternii) is an upright, evergreen perennial with decorative, leathery, palmate, toothed leaves. It bears light green, cupped flowers from February to April. In a semi-shady to shady location with well-drained, humus-rich, calcareous soil, it usually reaches a height of approx. 40 cm and grows to a width of approx. 40 cm. The Stern's hybrid hellebore is well tolerant of frost.
