Description
The Japanese privet 'Silver Star' (Ligustrum japonicum) is an upright, dense, winter-green shrub with decorative, egg-shaped, green-white leaves. It also bears white flowers arranged in panicles from July to September. These produce black, round fruits. In a sunny to semi-shady location with well-drained, humus-rich, loose soil, it usually reaches a height of around 1.8 metres and grows to around 1 metre wide.
