Description
The Chinese tupelo (Nyssa sinensis) is an upright garden plant with decorative fruits. In April, it produces greenish-yellow flowers arranged in clusters. The Chinese tupelo also has shiny, egg-shaped, dark green leaves. The red shoots are also an interesting sight. In a sunny to semi-shady location with nutrient-rich, moist to wet soil, it usually reaches a height of around 12 metres and grows to a width of around 4 metres.
