Description
The Colorado spruce 'Blue Diamond' (Picea pungens) is a tree or large shrub that grows cone-shaped and usually reaches a height of around 8 metres and a width of around 3 metres. Its needle-shaped leaves are blue-green in colour. Decorative light brown cones adorn Picea pungens 'Blue Diamond' from September. This shrub is well tolerant of frost and prefers well-drained soil in a sunny position.
