Description
The Colorado spruce 'Blaukissen' (Picea pungens) is a tree that grows cushion-shaped and usually reaches a height of approx. 10 cm and a width of approx. 40 cm. Its leaves have a blue-green colour. Decorative light brown cones adorn Picea pungens 'Blaukissen' from September. This shrub tolerates frost well and prefers well-drained soil in a sunny position.

This plant is susceptible to snow pressure. In snowy areas, it is therefore advisable to wrap the branches with string. Otherwise, they may split apart and not fully recover. When the snow season is over, the strings must of course be removed again.

Fruit
The light brown cones of Picea pungens 'Blaukissen' are particularly decorative. These appear from September.
